➳ 5 stars THIS IS THE BEST BOOK EVER! I'm truly in love 😭 Not only did Rina give importance to all those Instagram comments (I noticed so many scenes Bookstagrammers wanted), but she also wrote this story so intensely. This book is edgy, and the beginning seriously made me want to skip to the end because I was dying to know everything! ngl, whatever I expected from them, this book was not at all that. We got Ava as Aiden 2.0 instead of Eli 😭 This book is filled with super cute stuff like theatre dates, going to the beach, reading romance books, and INTENSE PSYCHOTIC things that were to be expected from a King. I never thought Rina could write such cute scenes, the first 3 books were so aggressive and these last 3 ones are so cute 😭 TW: mental health (the amnesia is not what you think of). Spoilers Ahead ⤷ Ava & Eli King .𖥔 ݁ ˖ ELI KING IS THE SUPERIOR KING. I knew it before reading this series and now it's A FACT. He was supposed to be selfish but god he was so selfless for Ava 🥹 now I know his selfish motives in the beginning, but he took care of her while ruining his whole own mental and physical health, watched her nonstop and even risked the wrath of each and every person, just because he can't see her getting hurt. I'm bawling because as much as I love Eli, I love Ava equally. I love both of these characters so much. I never thought that Ava would develop Psychosis and that her condition would be this much worse. It was heartbreaking to see her struggling and losing contact with reality. I genuinely felt content myself when she expressed her gratefulness for Eli's support in the end. And this is the first time that the fmc of Rina isn't docile. Ava is as vicious as he is, or worse. Eli might've died of brain tumour if he wasn't obsessed 😭 she drove him nuts and provoked him in the worst ways possible. (hint: threatening him with OM even tho she hates cheating lol) ⤷ Their Relationship .𖥔 ݁ ˖ ➳ I thought he'd be too possessive and controlling but instead, we got a doting husband. The possessiveness was still there but god EACH AND EVERY ACTION OF HIS HAD A REASON. He was so attuned to her condition that he sacrificed his own happiness for her sake 😭 “In fact, my presence seems to upset her and trigger these episodes, which is why I limit my time in her presence and don’t touch her unless absolutely necessary.” “Are you real?” ❝She’s so f*cking beautiful, I can’t look her in the eye without feeling the burn in my bones.❞

➳ their marriage of convenience wasn't convenient lmao and though this book is a better version of Adrian Lia from the deception trilogy, I was kind of shocked that Eli would pull the 'I'd scare her just so she could not leave me' stunt with her. But just like Ava, I'd forgive all these things because ELI DID SUPPORT AVA A LOT.
➳ I'm so freaking hurt on Eli's behalf, it's just 😭 he suffered way too much. As much as it hurt Ava to be suicidal and insane, it must be hard for him to witness each and everything. The last scenes when Ava tried to kill herself again and Eli was all ready to do anything to stop her. and his heart was crushed so badly. 😭 this book is seriously painful.

➳ The banter between them is hands down the best one, this book is humorous and the dry jokes in it were fun. As I mentioned, Ava literally did everything under the sun to seduce Eli 🤭😂 and would touch him or piss him off every time! Either by mentioning to f*ck other men just for Eli to accept her demands, or by disorienting his things to kinda trigger his self-diagnosed OCD.

⤷ cute stuff: Eli filling her house with candy floss and pink stuff, visiting her every day in the institution and reading her books or watching her, eating her homemade food and going on picnics and hikes with her, running together in the sand, cuddling, listening to her every demand, waited 5 months for her, giving her such a gentle bath every day and much more 😭💕✨

➳ I actually predicted many things and though some of them turned out true about the plot, the attempted rape wasn't one of it! I'm glad Eli killed that bitch Ollie! Ngl, this book had me on the edge because I wanted to know badly about everything.

➳ the cameos of other couples were so cute 😭 Cecily is such a good friend to Ava and their friendship is so pure. Idc, id she babied her or what, she's still the best f*cking friend ever. Kinda f*ck Jeremy for hurting Ava but nvm it all worked out.

IT'S A BLASPHEMY THAT ARIELLA NASH IS NOT GETTING HER BOOK. I'M LITERALLY HER FAN BECAUSE GIRL IS A FIRECRACKER. THE BADASS 😭 SHE FOUGHT NOT ONLY LANDON BUT NIKOLAI AND MIA JUST BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT TAKING REMI'S SIDE DURING POLO. Even threatened Nikolai 😭 damn that banter was something I never thought I needed but glad I GOT TO READ IT. 💀 Remi and Ariella scenes were so funny yet wholesome. She's obsessed head over heels and she is teal coded but with a sunshine personality. And the bestest freaking sister ever! ✨
