They will both be on Friday nights at least twice next season. Its in their contract.

400th Consecutive Sellout as a Friday Night Game is gross. I'll be there, but it will still be gross. Hopefully they cancel afternoon classes on campus.

Absolutely a slap in the face to the fans that have sold out the stadium 400 times. Should be a huge all day Saturday event and experience.

Minnesota has a Thursday game and I didn’t know Indiana had a football program.

So you think Fox is just scheduling teams that have struggled while scheduling Oregon twice and not even including Indiana? You don't have to like this, but its not a conspiracy or a shot against the Huskers.

This media contract is a money grab for the Big Ten. But like many money grabs, its going to include some crap:

Every team is going to have at least two Peaco*ck exclusive games during a two year span. Every team is going to have to play at least 2 Friday night games during a two year span. I also believe that every team has to commit to playing a 9:30 pm central Kickoff on the West Coast at least once every 4 years. That's an 10:30 pm Eastern Kickoff.

And the West Coast teams have agreed to play at least one away game at 9 AM Pacific Time kickoff at least once every four seasons.

Does all of this kind of ***** on the fans who actually attend games? Yes. But nobody cares on their way to the bank.

I can't speak for other big programs. If I thought Nebraska was in a position where it could push back I'd be disappointed it didn't. I don't think they were in such a position. I think this is one of those you have to eat it whether you really want it or not.

Sometimes you can tell someone to kick rocks and sometimes you can't even if you fume to your better half about it.

Also, I can't be a hypocrite about it. I don't like Husker home games on a Friday for reasons we all understand, but I do enjoy a good college football game on a Friday.

Anyhow, as I mentioned, I believe Dannen will be on the radio for a segment or two tonight and will offer some comment on it.

The city is going to have to cancel working in the downtown area so there is not a parking apocolypse.

I am concerned they may struggle to staff concessions, parking attendants, etc. It might take 1,000 people to pull off a home game in Lincoln.

If we walk in and they do not have the $5 seat back rental (because there is a lack of workers) you will see some folks lose their mind.

Ok well that fact just kinda ruins the whole ‘special privileges’ idea doesn’t it? That lowly Indiana was also spared the Friday night game?

I feel bad for the businesses in the Haymarket because they might get less overall revenue but I think there will be a lot of people (myself included) who will take a day off and spend the day in Lincoln. Never attended a Friday night game, so it'll be a first at least.

I still highly doubt Ohio State or Michigan play a home Friday night game. Penn State even.

Oregon has played Friday games for quite awhile, coming from the PAC.

Okay understood. You don’t actually believe there’s some ulterior motive or favoritism going on you’re just mad about Nebraska playing a friday night game

Yes, I’m mad about it. And I’m mad because Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State won’t be playing Friday night home games. I honestly don’t give a crap about the rest or who is or isn’t playing like Indiana or Rutgers or whoever besides us and those three with big stadiums that always pack the stands.
