MCoC recently updated Mister Sinister, however several players believe that he will be nerfed in the near future.
In Marvel Contest of Champions (MCoC) you can procure a variety of superheroes and supervillains to enjoy a variety of game modes.
One of the characters you can add to your roster is Mister Sinister, previously known as Nathanial Essex. He was a scientist in the latter half of the 19th century and pledged loyalty to the mutant demigod, Apocalypse.
Similar to other characters in MCoC, Mister Sinister has various abilities you can use to defeat your opponents.
The game developer, Kabam recently revealed that they have updated Mister Sinister’s abilities, which essentially means that he received a few new buffs.
On the official MCoC Forum, a player known as EdisonLaw said that the buff is not as big as he expected, however he believes that the update will make Mister Sinister better at defeating enemies.
However, a Summoner known as ItsClobberinTime provided a screenshot of Mister Sinister’s new buffs and explained why it will have a huge effect on your gameplay.
Due to the new buffs, charging a Heavy Attack for an additional 1 second will trigger his Genetic Manipulation. For the 7 seconds that follow, he inflicts a 10 second Bleed Debuff on himself every 0.7 seconds.
The Special Attack I however, transfers all Damaging Debuffs on Mister Sinister to non-#Robot Opponents, converting them into Degeneration Debuffs.
This deals 4649.4 direct damage to opponents over 6 seconds. Keep in mind however that this ability activates even if this attack is Blocked or avoided.
Mister Sinister’s abilities
In addition to the modification mentioned above, you may notice additional changes in Mister Sinister’s abilities. The following table lists his abilities with a description of each:

His Regeneration Rate cannot be reduced
He has a 100% chance to Regenerate 70% of damage dealt by enemy Critical Hits over .50 seconds.

He has a 100% chance to inflict Concussion, reducing the opponent’s Ability Accuracy by 100% for 6 seconds.
He has a 100% chance to Stun for 2.5 seconds.
Engineered Perfection
Every time Mister Sinister defeats an opponent, he extracts their genetic code. He gains a different Passive ability for the rest of the quest depending on the defeated Champion’s Class.
Mister Sinister’s strengths and weaknesses
Since Kabam updated Mister Sinister’s abilities, we recommend that you consider his strengths and weaknesses before taking him into battle. The table lists his strengths and weaknesses:

Weaknesses
Heal Block: While his Regeneration may be potent, it will not help much if it is Heal Blocked.
Robots: Mister Sinister cannot reflect Damage Over Time effects with his Special 1 to any champion with the #Robot Tag.
Strengths
Regeneration: He has some of the most consistent and powerful Regeneration in the game.
Damage over Time Control: Although Mister Sinister is not immune to as many effects, he can reflect Damage over Time effects back at his opponent to turn the into Degeneration.
Is Mister Sinister a viable Bullseye counter?
On the official MCoC Forum, Commanders have come together to discuss Mister Sinister’s new buffs and abilities. One question that a few players were wondering about is whether Mister Sinister is now a viable counter for Bullseye.
One commander mentioned that Mister Sinister is now a top Bullseye Counter as bleeds suffer a 100% decrease in Potency.
Mister Sinister will also gain Bulwark buffs on well-timed blocks and his regen triggers even through blocks. This means that every time you block Bullseye’s special, you will regenerate 70% of all damage.
Furthermore, if Bullseye purifies your degens, you will start lowering his purify and eventually he will no longer be able to purify anything other than stuns.
Will Mister Sinister be nerfed?
Seeing as Mister Sinister received a major update, several players on the official MCoC Discord server have been wondering if he will be nerfed in the future.
At the time of writing, Kabam is yet to announce whether or not they will nerf Mister Sinister.
However, the developer only recently updated his abilities and we believe that Kabam performed all the necessary tests to ensure that he is not overpowered.
However, if it comes to light that Mister Sinister is overpowered, Kabam will likely implement the necessary changes.
He derives additional powers from other mutants' genetic material, including telepathy, telekinesis, superhuman strength, concussive energy projection, and total control of his body at the molecular level, which allows him to shapeshift into other forms and to rapidly recover from most injuries.
It bring everything that a good horror film should bring to the table. Jump scares, disturbing imagery, haunting music, etc. The use of the recorded murders is especially terrifying. The story never has a dull moment and provides many good twists along the way.
If champs should be as powerful as the MCU, Fox or Sony, Cap (all) would rated as it is. Cap got nothing against Thor, Hulk Ragnarok, Scarlett Witch, CCM, Odin. If it's about comic books scaling, Dormammu, sentry and Mephisto should be near the top. Thanos and Phoenix would be unbeatable.
Superhuman Durability: Mister Sinister's muscles and tissue are far more durable than those of an ordinary man allowing him to resist gunshot, physical damage, shocks and also energy blasts however he has been heavily hurt by Cyclops´s blast in the past.
Desperate, Gambit went to Mister Sinister for help. Sinister modified Gambit's power by removing a portion of Gambit's brain stem, making him significantly less powerful, but able to control the still considerably large amount of power in him.
Sinister was at Apocalypse's side when they witnessed the battle that killed Charles Xavier. It was the same day Apocalypse declared his war on humankind. During these early days of his partnership with Apocalypse, Sinister adopted two brothers with exceptional mutant abilities.
Genius-Level Geneticist: Mister Sinister is a genius geneticist of the highest order, able to predict genetic mutations and splice DNA. It is quite probable his powers are the result of self-experimentation - his shape-shifting power is due to a procedure he performed on himself with help from a time-traveling Gambit.
Mister Sinister is a clone of the original Nathaniel Essex, one of three created in 1895 along with a clone of Essex's late wife Rebecca to explore different solutions to the problem of inevitable Machine supremacy.
Dr.Nathaniel Essex's long history of experimenting on mutants is as horrifying as his origin and self-made mutations. In his quest for a perfect mutant race, Essex procures his subjects by any means, earning him a name as evil as his intent - Mister Sinister.
In the second-season premiere, it was revealed that shortly after their death at the hands of the Sentinels, Morph's body was recovered by Mister Sinister, who revived and brainwashed them by placing mind control implant in their brain.
His ultimate goal is power through genetic manipulation. He believes that being free to experiment gives him a degree of power over the entire mutant race, as well as humanity. His lust for power combined with his sociopathic and psychopathic tendencies are what makes him a villain.
His intellect has been said to match Reed Richards and Doctor Doom, and he is one of the smartest people on Earth. Sinister, having lived for over 150 years, has acquired vast knowledge over many known fields, being a formidable scientist and a talented inventor. Considered the most brilliant mind of his time, Dr.
The grieving Essex was then recruited by Apocalypse and genetically modified to be functionally immortal, after which he took the name Mister Sinister. After turning against Apocalypse, Sinister continued to conduct his cruel research around the Marvel Universe.
As Apocalypse's ability to alter his molecular structure saved him, Mister Sinister fled while he could, driving his desire to find and create a powerful mutant to defeat Apocalypse later on.
