The bride is the daughter of Dorothy L. Mathes of Boyd and the late C.D. Mathes.She wore her father’s pocket watch in his memory.
The groom is the son of James A. Alexander of Harrison, Ark. and Wanda R.Burritt of Forney.
The bride was escorted by her brother, Donald Mathes of Boyd. The altar was asaddle borrowed from Bob Ruffin.
Matron of honor was Debbie Johnson of Carrollton, sister of the groom.
Best man was Jeremy Morse of Rockwall, nephew of the groom.
Ushers were Dale Mathes, brother of the bride and Jonathan Morse, nephew of thegroom.

Deacon Art Casias officiated the double ring ceremony at the Assumption CatholicChurch in Decatur.
The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a white, V-neck gown with afitted bodice adorned with Venice lace sleeves. The gown had a full skirtadorned with appliquéd tulle overlay and a cathedral length train. She alsowore a beaded crown with a grand cathedral veil. She carried a bouquet of white,ivory and golden cream antique roses.
Maid of honor was Leslie Wolfe of Decatur, the bride’s sister.
Bridesmaids were Alexandra Vess, cousin of the bride and Michelle Davidson, bothof Boyd and Kelly Denti of Keller. They wore gold sleeveless satin tops accentedwith black and gold corded trim and black A-line skirts with an organza overlay.They carried bouquets of plum, wine, mauve and golden cream roses.
The flower girl was Bailey Berry of Decatur. The cushion carrier was CassidyBennett of Arlington, cousin of the bride.
Candlelighters were Clarissa Cantu, cousin of the groom and Claudia Castillo,both of Decatur.

The bride is the daughter of James and Paula Patrick of Alvord. The groom is theson of Bill and Barbara Baird of Alvord.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father. Shewore a formal chapel length ivory A-line silk gown, embroidered with silverbeading and gold threading. Accenting her gown was a waist-length veil of ivorytulle, held by a pearl and silver tiara.
Maids of honor were Crystal Vardas and Angie Vaughn of Wichita Falls. Thebridesmaid was Lauren Patrick of Alvord, sister of the bride.
Flower girls were Erin Patrick, youngest sister of the bride, and RachelMcGregor, niece of the groom.
Best man was Brad Cannon of Alvord. Groomsmen were Brandon Reed of Fort Worthand Brent Hanco*ck of Tomball.

Erin Buchanan and John Bean of Fort Worth were married Oct. 27, 2001, at theBotanic Gardens’ Fuller Garden Gazebo in Fort Worth. The Rev. Katherine Weikelofficiated the double ring ceremony.
Parents of the bride are Tom and Ann Welch of Bowie. The groom’s parents areMike and Pam Spore of Fort Worth and Willie and Donna Bean of Alvord.
Grandparents of the couple are Marian Beam and the late H. Carter Beam ofBeaumount, Hazel Reed of Bowie, Patty and Don Johnson of Fairbanks, Alaska, BillBean of Decatur and Bryan and Shirley Wasson of Bowie.
The bride was escorted by her brother, Daniel Buchanan, of Bowie. The weddinggown, made by the groom’s mother, was floor length, fashioned of bridal satinoverlayed in re-embroidered lace and accented with bead trim. The bodicefeatured leg of mutton sleeves and a square neckline. The bride’s veil ofbridal illusion fell from a halo of tiny flowers. She carried a bouquet of redroses and purple orchids, accented with green fern.
Maid of honor was Bridget Cameron of Bridgeport. Bridesmaid was Tara Townsend,the groom’s sister, of Alvord. They wore deep purple dresses with empirewaistlines and scoop necks, accented with sheer capes that flowed into bellsleeves. They carried small bouquets of red roses and purple orchids accentedwith green fern.
Best man was Bill Arrant of Decatur. Groomsman was Daniel Buchanan, brother ofthe bride, of Bowie.
A reception, given by the bride’s parents, followed the ceremony at theBotanic Gardens’ Red Bud Hall.
The bride is a 1997 Decatur High School graduate and the groom is a 1998 AlvordHigh School graduate. The couple live in Fort Worth.

Beckham and the former Adele Alexander were married March 17, 1951, inPittsburgh, Texas.
They have four children, Donny Beckham of Irving, Kim Beckham of Tyler, RickBeckham of Mesquite and Tracey Oney of Greenwood. They also have ninegrandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He is retired from the U.S. Post Office and is a bus driver for SlidellIndependent School District.
She is a homemaker.
They are both members of the Greenwood Baptist Church.

She wore a white satin A-line dress. The embroidered bodice was adorned withseed pearls and featured cap sleeves and a sweetheart neckline. Pearls accentedthe cathedral-length train. The tulle veil was trimmed with white satin ribbonand attached to a pearl comb. She wore her mother’s pearl drop necklace.
The bride carried a fresh bouquet of white roses and baby’s breath tied withgold trimmed illusion ribbon. Handkerchiefs belonging to the bride’sgrandmothers were tucked in the bouquet.
Matron of honor was Meradith Culpepper of Decatur, sister of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Alisa Campbell of San Antonio, Gabby Carrillo and CherylLoftis, both of Arlington and Bita Yousefi of Houston.
They wore hunter green floor-length dresses with empire waists and shortsleeves. They carried bouquets of red roses with baby’s breath tied with goldribbon.

The bride is the daughter of Ron and Dorothy Evans of Fort Worth. The groom isthe son of Kenneth and Susan Branch of Arlington and the late Mercedes Branch.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a sheath gown with a tank style bodiceembellished with Venise lace appliqués. Her detachable train cascaded down inlayers of fine organza. Delicate rosettes graced the top of the train whichattached at the base of the scoop back. She carried a cascading bouquet of pinkstargazers, white calla lilies, stephanotis, roses and Queen Anne’s lace. Thebouquet was arranged on a white New Testament carried by the bride’s mother ather wedding.
Matron of honor was Erica Gambrell of Northport, Ala. Bridesmatrons wereCatherine Husby of Grapevine, Rachelle Gammon of Indianapolis, Ind. and PamelaPeterson of Fort Worth.

The bride was escorted by her father. She word a gown of white satin with abodice overlayed with lace and pearls.The train had cutouts of lace and pearlsand her headpiece was a halo made of rosebuds and pearls.
She carried a bouquet of fresh cut spring flowers.
Maid of honor was Stephanie Cox, sister of the bride, of Paris. Bridesmaids wereRachael Griswood and Emily Griswood both of Paris and Melissa Stastny, sister ofthe groom, of Slidell. They wore periwinkle blue floor length dresses withchiffon overlay of the skirts, satin cumberbun waists and sheer short sleeves ofchiffon and satin trim.
Best man was Jerry Brooks, father of the groom. Groomsmen were Joshua Brooks,brother of the groom, of Decatur, Adam Vermillion, cousin of the groom, ofLongview and Greg Wood of Bridgeport.
Flower girls were Sara Beth Ralston of Paris and Cassia Douglas. Abby Griswoodand Stasia Story, both of Paris were candlelighters and also served as guestbook attendants. The ringbearer was Brock Garrison of Paris. Ushers were DamienBooth of Paris, Stuart Brooks, brother of the groom, Phillip Brooks, uncle ofthe groom of Decatur and Craig Stastny, brother-in-law of the groom of Slidell.

Escorted by her parents, the bride wore an Oleg Cassini gown in satin, withshort cap sleeves, a fully beaded A-line skirt and a scoop neckline. The gownhad elaborate hand beaded lace detailing the entire dress and the chapel lengthtrain. The headpiece, a silk illusion, fingertip length bunwrap matched the laceand beading of the dress.
She carried pink and burgundy roses.
Maid of honor was Michelle Haynes of Decatur. Bridesmaids were Lauren Harding ofBenchley, cousin of the bride and Kim Robinson of Chico. Bridesmatron was SummerFernihough of Southlake. They wore floor-length burgundy satin, sleeveless gownswith a back bow cutout. Their flowers were a smaller version of the bride’sbouquet, accented with creme roses.
Candlelighters were Gerald Haynes of Decatur, cousin of the bride and DanielFernihough of Southlake, cousin of the groom.
The best man was Chris Fernihough of Decatur, brother of the groom. Groomsmenwere Chas Hoke of Decatur, Matt Dyer of Bawtry, England and Russell Sims ofDecatur, brother of the bride.

Hall, Billy - Halls to celebrate 50th anniversary
Billy Eugene and Betty Acker Hall of Mesquite will celebrate their 50th weddinganniversary on Sunday, June 24, noon to 5:30 p.m. at the Boyd Community Center.
The event will also celebrate the 87th birthday of Billy Hall’s mother, NaomiHall of Belton, Mo. Naomi Hall lived in Boyd for many years where she owned acafe and beauty shop. She is the widow of Red Hall, a former mayor of Boyd.
Billy Eugene Hall and the former Betty Acker were married on June 9, 1951, inForest Hill. The bride’s father, the Rev. D.E. Acker married the couple. Theyhave two sons, David E. Hall and wife Nancy of Dallas and Britton Hall and wifeAngie. They also have seven grandchildren.
Hall is retired from Trammell Crow in Dallas and Betty Hall is retired from theArea Agency on Aging, where she served a 14-county area as a nursing homeombudsman.

She wore a floor-length ivory crepe and satin overlaid, A-line gown with acathedral-length train. The sleeveless bodice featured a V-neckline and wasadorned with small pearls and sequins. The elbow-length tulle veil was alsofashioned with small pearls, crystals and sequins.
She carried a cascading fresh bouquet of deep burgundy roses, cream coloredroses, pink snapdragons, pink stock and bright pink and cream orchids. A smallglass bluebird, which was used in her mother’s wedding bouquet, was placed inthe bride’s bouquet.
